2006 was a busy year, particularly due to a new job at work. As expected the job has comtinued to be reasonably demanding and stressful. That's why I am only now getting a chance to update this web site.

Winter 2006 was unusually mild and I was able to work in the garden until January 7th. On that day I found an F1 sxd bud fully up and ready to open. I immediately covered it with a dish pan. Soon after it turned cold and now as I write it is -5°C (daytime). We only have a light snow cover. Most, but not all of the beds are covered with straw and/or leaves to protect from freeze-thaw cycles.

As you will see by the pictures below, as well as in the 'New 2006' web pages, there were some wonderful new hybrids, including my first F3s (00-CZ-1, 00-CZ-2, 02-CA-1).

My favorite of all of the new blooms was 01-IV-3, but I am quite attracted by all of the ones on this page.
